![]() ![]() The sound is truly delicious I can't recommend enough trying this with a valve amp. As far as I can tell it contains all original parts, but note the following: The battery connector has loose wires in the head: I use an Ibanez DC adaptor on the pedal rack, so have only just noticed this The footswitch is temperamental: Needs a good press to activate it, easy once you get used to it I considered replacing these but have refrained in order to keep the unit as genuine as possible! The condition is generally good for a pedal that's 33 years old, with the usual bumps and scrapes to the paintwork but no scratchy pots and a wonderful tone. These are visible from the inside but barely noticeable on the outside. There are also two faint cracks in the casting on the input side, presumably due to it being screwed tightly to the board. Please feel free to research it yourself, or this ebay buying guide has more information. When I purchased this some 20 years ago, it was screwed to an Ibanez pedal rack and the previous owner had slightly modified the battery door to accommodate this (see pictures). It has the Ibanez (R) "trademark" logo and with the serial number of 138579 I believe it to be a 1980 model. ![]() Up for sale is an original Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer in well-used condition. ![]()
